Our primary focus in currently on European mainland based assets, but given suitable circumstances Maven is keen to build a global portfolio.
Renewable energy
Since the dawn of humanity, the energy available to the individual has been on an exponential increase. For the past 2 centuries this increase has been fueled mainly through the consumption of abundant, cheap, high energy density fossil fuels, releasing copious amounts of greenhouse gasses in the process.
Decoupling the economy from greenhouse gas emissions is being realized on many economic fronts, but none so prolific as by energy producers. Since 2020, renewable energy generation has become economically viable for both wind and solar power generation.
The Maven Group, in line with its mission of creating a more sustainable tomorrow, is actively pursuing investments in renewable energy ever since these technologies are no longer reliant on the availability of government subsidies. Due to the complexity of the systems, the priority of Maven’s investments in this sector is currently on 0.5-1MW capacity solar facilities in Europe.
Energy storage
The world is employing numerous green energy generating technologies in the monumental effort to decouple economic activities from greenhouse emissions. With wind and solar power gaining momentum, balancing the load and supply of the grids is a challenge.
As a supporting element to the green economy, energy storage is a key asset in helping both to balance loads during peak production times, and to provide supply when needed.
Within this asset class Maven is predominantly looking at hydrogen gas installations and systems.
Potable water sources
With the increasing scarcity of water as a resource, communities are waking up to the pressing need of having a reliable and clean source of potable water. A reliable availability does not only directly improve health within a community, but also forms the foundation of a prosperous economy.
Given its long history in dealing with water management and assuring water quality, the Maven Group has a passion for the acquisition, management and/ or development of potable water resources.
